Great editorial in today's New York Times regarding President Obama's unwillingness to advocate for equal and full civil rights for gays.

New Hampshire became the sixth state to legalize gay marriage. 2009 has been a great year so far for civil rights. It sounds as if there are additional states in the Northeast that may also take the plunge. Let's hope so. New Hampshire has a long tradition of promoting individual rights, and I'm glad that the good people of the Granite State have made this historic decision. Way to go, New Hampshire!
