Michelle SD's favorite Vancouver restaurant is Zin. Sara and I loved the Water Street Cafe in Gastown the best. We ate there on our first evening and enjoyed the meal so much that we returned again on our last night. Water Street Cafe had excellent fresh fish, crab, home made pasta, and a mighty fine flourless chocolate cake.

I enjoy fun conversations with friends, going out to dinner, hiking in national parks, and alternative music from the 80s and early 90s. I'm an avid runner; I've finished seven marathons since 2005 (PR 3 hours, 19 minutes in 2010) and will likely run my eighth in 2011. My friends describe me as earnest, empathetic, industrious, hard working, unpretentious, and intelligent. I love to smile and laugh, and I don't take myself too seriously. I'm extremely loyal to my friends, sometimes to the point of being too hard on them. I've been told that I'm a good listener. My friends and family are very important to me. Honesty and humor are very important. People who can’t crack a smile or muster a giggle turn me off. I enjoy 'being' more than 'doing'. I don't need to go out to have a good time; I just need to have good company. I prefer dinner and a show (be it live, film, or rented) to a club. I like honest and witty conversations.
